As I moved along with the build, various parts came up that I'd like to get checked a bit more on the PBC, to test that I've done it right. This is simply a reminder list that I kept adding to so I can send to them when the car goes for it's PBC. the PBC is arranged for next week so this is what I'll be asking them:
- Tracking/Toe/Camber will be sorted at the PBC, I've added the necessary IVA trim, but I expect that they will remove this and re add themselves.
- Econoseal connectors for the front left and right lights, I can't get the rubber bungs in them all, are they OK?
- I've left the dashboard sticker off, please leave it off as it is nicer without it.
- Nose cone has a 1" scratch in it since opening, also the rear RHS wing seems to have a light scratch too, the said they would sort for me on warranty. I contacted them right away about this.
- I'm not happy with the brakes, they don't feel firm enough and I appear to have a slight weep on the Front Right connection, it looks like it is seated well, but will ask them to look at it!
- My Dot 4 warning label is missing (I think it got lost during the brake bleed) can I get another one please.
- The rear hub nuts need torquing fully (Once the wheels were on my nut no longer fitted in)
- I prefer the older wheels and have them on the car, this is not a problem I presume? Could you also check the balance on all the wheels, some of the weights fell off on my first small drive so they may be out of balance.
- I've left the clear front indicators on, should I put the orange ones back on before I send for PBC/IVA.
- I'm missing a few nut covers that are needed to finish off the front suspension for IVA purposes
- Passenger seat has a slight mark in it which was there on opening, is there anything that can be done about it?
- The headlamps need to be aligned correctly for the road,
- Windscreen wipers, the passenger one doesn't wipe the top of the window, seems to be too long for the windscreen, also are the washer jets positioned correctly?
- The Fuel gauge seems to either register 1/4 or 3/4 full, it may be faulty.
I had an initial response which requested that I put the stock wheels back on, and also the orange indicator pods. They want the car as vanilla as possible for the PBC and IVA.
The fuel gauge turend out to be faulty in the end, it was replaced under warranty.
